IDP MINISTRY
Due to the conditions in the region over the past 28 years, HIS continues to minister to the needs of internationally displaced people from time to time as the situation warrants. Though the HIS mission leans toward outreach and development, ministering to those in crisis is a necessity in the midst of war, violence and drought. HIS is attentive to helping mobilize and facilitate other relief organizations that can help in this isolated region.
In serving the population in Northeastern Uganda, HIS does its best to facilitate and encourage other effective ministries in the region whenever possible, particularly in the area of peacemaking and biblical reconciliation, literacy, micro-enterprise, youth outreach, women’s cooperative initiatives, sustainable agriculture development and rural village medical outreach among others.
